Case study · Dispatch and billing
From a group chat to a real operation.
Cabling contractor · Texas · Client name withheld
The second of the two results behind our work. Same audit-first process, a different leak.
The situation
The whole operation ran through text messages
Dispatch, damage tracking, and job follow-up all lived in group threads. Information disappeared the moment the next message came in. Billing waited because nobody could find the completed job documentation, and the errors that slipped through were just absorbed as a cost of doing business.
What we built
One flow from dispatch to invoice
Dispatch, field operations, and billing connected on one live board with real-time status on every job. The moment a job closed, the documentation was already there and the invoice could go. Decisions moved from the last text somebody remembered to send onto data everyone could see.
The outcome
What changed
"Completed jobs sat in text threads and invoices went out weeks late. Now the invoice triggers the moment a tech closes the job. That alone covered what we paid for the build." Operations Manager, cabling contractor
Would it be a bad idea to spend 30 minutes on this?
